Our Legacy & Support
The Academy proudly bears the name of Harry Fischel (1865–1948), one of the great pioneers of Jewish philanthropy and education in America. His biography — Harry Fischel: Pioneer of Jewish Philanthropy – Forty Years of Struggle for a Principle and the Years Beyond — documents a lifetime of vision and contribution.
